Alla Prima Oil Painting
This course will be an immediate and direct
approach to oil painting. Students will learn how to build
an oil painting within 2-3 hours for the purpose of oil
sketching on location and to learn a fast approach of
working with oils. There will be a general overview during
our first class and discuss supplies needed for Alla Prima
Oil Painting and we will watch a video. Students will
produce one small oil painting per class during the next
seven sessions. Students will be painting from still life
set ups at first and photos for the second half of the
course, if they prefer.
Supplies
Supplies will be discussed during the first
class.
Material fees will vary depending upon the
desire of the students.
Easil for West
Hartford Class Only
...if you have a French Easel or a portable one, it will be highly recommended that you plan to use it, unless we find the school is supplied with easels for our use

Recommended: Filberts 4,6,8,12 and any others you have
including bristles, flats, rounds, large and small
